Subject: San Ramon hike Sunday
From: John Bondon
Thanks to Andrew for leading a great hike last Sunday at Las Trampas. The weather was ideal .. cool and breezy. Okay, okay. maybe "ideal" is a strech! breezy is an understatement ... it was down right GUSTY at times! But the good news was NO RAIN! As a matter of fact, no rain until long after we had departed.
Andrew leads another hike on Sunday starting from Central Park in San Ramon. Says Andrew, " This is a pavement hike of 6+ miles in San Ramon. We start at San Ramon Central Park at 10:30 and go through the park to the Iron Horse trail, where we head north to Crow Canyon Rd. Then we head east to Dougherty Rd. Fantastic views of Diablo, the Wall Point Ridge, and the beautiful San Ramon suberbs. South on Dougherty to Bollinger Canyon, and then west back to SRCP. This is a "rain or shine" hike. There is some elevation gain on this hike, but nothing like Las Trampas. Kudos to those that did that hike! Bring cameras. Water and flush toilets at SRCP. Also picnic tables. "
You'll find more details about this upcoming hike posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website.
Happy Trails! :)
