A couple of quick items to share. First of all, it has been brought to my attention that not everyone has been receiving my Weekly (Wednesday) RSVP hiking emails lately. If that has been the case for you, hopefully you are receiving this one.

I believe the problem has now been resolved. There was a problem that prevented emails to be sent to those who had signed up recently to our email list. Anyone who had signed up since January 21st, has NOT been receiving these emails.

If you become aware of any of your fellow East Bay Casual Hiking members continuing to NOT receive these weekly emails, please ask him/her to contact me directly and I will investigate. Thanks!

Lastly, my apologies to Howard and Andrew. I failed to get their new hikes posted yesterday in time for my Weekly RSVP email to automatically fire , so yesterday's email only mentioned one upcoming hike. In reality there are actually 4 hikes posted on the website today, including one from this morning. My apologies to anyone who wanted to hike today but was not aware of it. My Weekly RSVP Email is intended to give you a heads up to what upcoming hikes are available, but you should not rely on it, as my schedule sometimes gets hectic or I just simply forget to get those hikes posted. Instead, I encourage you that any day you feel in the mood to join a hike, check the website to see if one is already offered. The website is now up to date for the week.

And, of course, if the type of hike or date and time you want to hike is not offered, I encourage you to consider leading your own hike as well. The whole idea of this website is that ANY member of our group is welcome to lead hikes. Just figure out the date and time and place you want to hike, and think of this website as a way to invite your hiking friends to join you! To learn more about leading hikes, please review the Leading Hikes section of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page on our website.

Happy Hiking!

:) John
