Subject:           Saturday Las Trampas; Wednesday Brushy Peak
From:               John Bondon
Andrew says of the August 15 Lime Ridge (Arbolado Park) hike:
We had 27 hikers and 2 dogs on a toasty day. Nice breeze at the summit. We rested and snacked there. It was really a pleasant day. Many hikers were kind to me. I appreciate it. Howard and Mars will be leading some future hikes.

Howard reports of the August 19th weekday hike:
There were 13 hikers for our Wednesday Borges Ranch loop hike. It was good hiking weather, not too warm and a cooling breeze. We all had an enjoyable stop at the Ranch where some shared their snacks with a few bold and hungry chickens.

This weekend Saturday is the day for hiking. And the weekday tradition continues as well with a Wednesday hike to Brushy Peak.

Andrew says of the upcoming Ringtail Cat to Las Trampas peak hike on Saturday, August 22 at 9:30 AM: "This is the hike that attracted 68 hikers in February.".

Howard says of the upcoming Brushy Peak Loop hike on Wednesday, August 26 at 9:30 AM: "A nice 5-mile Brushy Peak loop hike on a trail that does not lead to Borges Ranch. Dogs welcome but must be on-leash. ".

You'll find more details about each of these upcoming hikes, including starting time and directions to the trailhead, posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website. In the event of rain, please check with the hike leader as to whether the hike will proceed as planned.

Happy Trails! :)

Happy Trails,

John
