Thursday Ritual continues!
Andrew reports of last Sunday's Briones Reservoir Overlook hike:
We had 29 hikers and 1 dog for our hike. Many new faces. It started out cool, but quickly got hot.
We were all happy that most of the hike was shaded. The last mile, climbing the big hill in the sun was difficult.
We all finished safely. The dog wanted to do it again.
Howard filed this Hike report for Thursday 7/23 Fossil Hill to Borges Ranch loop hike:
There were eight hikers and one dog for our trek along Indain Creek to Borges Ranch on Thursday morning, July 23.
The weather was sunny with a comfortable temperature; excellent hiking weather. An enjoyable, 5-mile hike.
Yes there is a hike today. The weekday hiking tradition continues!
Howard says of the upcoming Redwood Regional Park (Skyline Gate) hike
on Thursday, July 30 at 9:30 AM:
"A 5-mile hike in the mostly shaded 2nd-growth redwoods with a midway rest and snack stop. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash at all times. Parking may not be a problem on a weekday morning but no guarantee.".
Andrew says of the upcoming Gossip Rock Loop hike
on Sunday, August 2 at 9:00 AM:
"This is a hike from the Bay side of the hills. Much cooler than the Danville side.
I will act as a beacon on Mission to guide people until 9AM.".
You'll find more details about each of these upcoming hikes, including starting time and directions to the trailhead,
posted on the
East Bay Casual Hiking website.
In the event of rain, please check with the hike leader as to whether the hike will proceed as planned.
Happy Trails! :)
