A quick review of some of our past hikes. Andrew says of the May 14th hike:
We had 6 hikers on another beautiful east bay day. This is why I am still living here. There are folks that like mid week hikes and I am happy to oblige, because I do too. Small hikes are fun.

Our May 10th Utility Trail to Canal Trail hike was attended by 10 hikers and 1 young dog. Most of us did about 7.5 miles round trip, but a couple continued on. It was a beautiful day for a hike -- not too hot and plenty of shade and breeze as well.

Howard reports of the May 7th Shell Ridge - Rockspring Pl entrance hike:
There were 9 hikers and one dog on our Borges Ranch loop hike last Thursday. The weather was excellent, the camaraderie was quite enjoyable and a healthful experience was enjoyed by all. We look forward to continuing these midweek hikes for those whose schedules allow then to participate.

A Preview of our next hike:

Howard says of the upcoming Macedo Ranch to Castlerock hike on Sunday, May 24 at 9:30 AM: "A nice, approximately 5-mile, moderate hike in Mt Diablo State Park for the Memorial Day weekend. Dogs not allowed in the park. ".

You'll find more details about each of these upcoming hikes, including starting time and directions to the trailhead, posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website. In the event of rain, please check with the hike leader as to whether the hike will proceed as planned.

Happy Trails! :)

Happy Trails,

John
