Subject: Tennis Season
From: John Bondon
Normally in the past this is the time of year I would be getting back into hiking and taking a break from tennis, which is my other favorite past time. But the USTA (United State Tennis Association) changed the dates for it's adult Mixed Doubles leagues. Which means that from now on January means the start of tennis season for me, and that will run pretty through until mid summer. So I might not be able to make too many hikes in the next few months, or at least not consistently. But thankfully we have many other capable leaders who have volunteered to lead some great hikes. Like the Eagle Peak hike tomorrow, and the Pleasanton Ridge hike next Sunday.
Howard reports of the Sugarloaf to Borges Ranch hike:
A Preview of our upcoming hikes, by the hike leader(s):
Brian leads the upcoming Eagle Peak hike on Saturday, January 17 at 10:00 AM.
Andrew says of the upcoming Pleasanton Ridge hike on Sunday, January 25 at 10:00 AM: "I know it should be wet, but it's not so let's enjoy it.".
You'll find more details about each of these upcoming hikes, including starting time and directions to the trailhead, posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website. In the event of rain, please check with the hike leader as to whether the hike will proceed as planned.
Happy Trails! :)
