Hardy Canyon Hike Nov 2, 2008 Mushrooms Found! Hardy Canyon Hike Nov 2, 2008 Last Sunday I led the hike at Round Valley on the Hardy Canyon trail. Although this wasn't new for many of the regulars in our group, it was new to me. That was the first time I recall ever taking that left turn up Hardy Canyon, and what a beautiful route it is! Of course, I expect it is even more scenic in the spring after a nice long rainy season when the hillside is green and in full bloom! We will definately be returning then! And for those curious how far we hiked, my GPS recorded it as a total of 4.79 miles.

Mars took some snap shots of our hike. You can view them online here:

"I was on the October 19 Morgan Territory hike with Andrew. He suggested I send you a few of the photos I took, and said you might include some in your weekly newsletter. It was a great hike, and fun was had by all! "
Thanks for the photos, Greg! You can see more of his pics online here:

Hardy Canyon Nov 2, 2008 This weekend Andrew leads the hike to the top of Mount Diablo. He says of the upcoming Mt Diablo Summit from Mitchell Canyon hike on Sunday at 9:00 AM: "I know we need rain, but I hope it holds off until after this hike.".

You'll find more details about this upcoming hike posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website. In the event of rain, please check with the hike leader as to whether the hike will proceed as planned.

Happy Trails! :)
