From:               John Bondon
Twin Ponds Loop hike First, Andrew reports of Thursday's weekday hike:
" We could not get to Redwood Regional Park today because Skyline Blvd is closed for construction just past the Huckleberry Regional Preserve. So we had to hike from Huckleberry. I want to apologize to all the folks that wanted to attend but couldn't.

We had 4 hikers today. 2 hikers found us. We hiked 5+ miles total, through Huckleberry and into Redwood. It is so beautiful. We will do it again.
    "
And yes, there will be another weekday hike next Thursday. This time in Walnut Creek. Check the website for details. Andrew also filed this report regarding last Sunday's trek to the Lafayette Reservoir from Moraga Road:
" There were 27 hikers plus dogs for the Upper Rim trail. There were 5 hikers and a very energetic dog for the Lower trail. This is the third week in a row we have had 30+ hikers. It was a beautiful day for hiking and everybody finished. The cookies and grapes from Suzanne and Lucy were delicious. "
Moraga to Lafayette Reservoir hike I snapped some pictures from last Sunday's hike, but haven't had time to get them downloaded from my camera and uploaded to the website. I will let you know once they are available for viewing. In the meantime, please enjoy some of the pictures that were shared with me by members Peggi and Mars. Special thanks to both!

HEADS-UP!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 26th for the Wall Point hike. Thanks to the initiative of members Andrew and Lucy, a new EBCHG tradition is brewing. A pot-luck of sorts after the hike, so bring your favorite dish or snack to share and prepare to stick around for some eating and chatting afterwards!
