Subject: Lake Chabot Sunday
From: John Bondon
This Sunday is our Lake Chabot (9 mile) Lake Loop hike meeting at 10:30 AM. We will trek around the tranquil 315-acre Lake Chabot. This lake was built in 1875 as a primary source of water for the East Bay and was off limits to the public for about 91 years. In 1960, the parks district opened the area for the public to enjoy. Join me as we scout the various trails that wind around the shoreline of Lake Chabot.
By the way, if you prefer to avoid the parking fee, Andrew informs me you can find street parking outside of the park for free!
You'll find more details about this upcoming hike posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website. Happy Trails! :)
