Subject: Beat the Heat - Coastside!
From: John Bondon
Special Thanks to Andrew for leading last week's hike at Las Trampas. Unforunately we didn't get to actually hike at Las Trampas due to the park being closed because of high fire danger. So we improvised and opted to hike the Iron Horse trail instead.
This Sunday, Harold will be your guide on a trek that will start coastside and up past some fabulous homes then on to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. Says Harold,
An 8.8 mile hike mostly on dirt overlooking the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. We will hike up to the Golden Gate Bridge, have a snack/lunch and then hike back. Along the way we will be walking past the most expensive area in San Francisco (I will point out Robin Williams' house for the group) and part of the hike will be on a beach (probably about 300 yards). If people want we can have dinner at the Cliff House overlooking the ocean.
You'll find more details about this upcoming hike posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website.
Happy Trails! :)
