Subject:           Hike All Day, Hike At Night!
From:               John Bondon
Last week was a fun week for hiking; 3 days in a row of hiking! This weekend we are lucky enough to have a similar lineup.

The fun starts Saturday morning at 11:30AM with another of June's Short Hikes, Fabulous Places hikes in Walnut Creek. Says June about the planned hike, " We hiked part of this loop on a previous after-work hike. This time we will do an extra loop and go 0.7 miles further than last time, for a total of 2.4 miles. "

Then on Saturday evening, join Prachi for a night time hike to Mission Peak in Fremont. The fun begins at 6:45pm; optional carpool at 5pm. Says Prachi about this upcoming hike, " This is a 6.2 miles/3 hour strenuous out-and-back hike with a total elevation gain of 2500 feet. Bring plenty of water, snacks, Flashlight/headlamp and a light Jacket. Rain cancels. " Yeah, and if it's a windy night, consider making that light jacket a heavy one instead! :)

Sunday morning finish off your weekend with a late morning hike at Redwood Regional Park with Amy as your guide. Don't let the warm weather fool you. If it's a foggy morning, bring a jacket for our meeting spot at Skyline Gate.

Thanks to all our members who have been offering to lead hikes these past couple of weeks: Diane Prachi, Amy, and June. If you have a hike in mind you'd like to lead and have posted on the website, don't be shy, let me know!

And now the standard tagline .. You'll find more details about these upcoming hikes posted on the East Bay Casual Hiking website.

Happy Trails! :)

Happy Trails,

John
