Event Notes:

2014 Trails Challenge Hike

Another 2014 EBRPD Trails Challenge Hike along the East Bay Shoreline during a Low Tide (10:48 am). This easy, 10 mile, out-and-back hike takes us from the foot of Grant Road in San Lorenzo to the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center near the San Mateo Bridge.

We'll travel along the SF Bay Trail passing Oro Loma, Cogswell and Hayward Marshes on our way to the Interpretive Center for a snack break. With any luck we will have some good bird watching along the way.

Leader: Joel Schantz

Trail Notes:

Hayward Regional Shoreline consists of 1,811 acres of salt, fresh, and brackish water marshes, seasonal wetlands and public trails.

The trails are primarily flat Levee roads along the Eastern Shoreline of San Francisco Bay.
