This is a 6 mile hike to Lake Anza. Restrooms at Lone Oak and Lake Anza. Dog friendly. The hike will be led by Trail Gail from East Bay Parks. Should take about 3 hours.

Trail Notes:

This is a 6 mile hike from Lone Oak to and around Lake Anza. About 1,000 ft. of elevation. Some easy rock climbing. Dogs allowed.


Trailhead Directions:

From hwy. 80: take the University exit in Berkeley. Follow University towards the hills and turn left onto Oxford St. Turn right onto Rose St., then left onto Spruce St. Follow Spruce up the hill to a stop sign at the top. Go through the intersection and immediately turn left down Canon Dr. At the bottom of Canon veer right onto Central Park Dr. and take the next left to Lone Oak area. From Hwy 24,exit at Fish Ranch Rd. Stay on Fish Ranch to Grizzly Blvd. and turn right. Continue until you come to the intersection of Spruce St. Wildcat Canyon Rd. and Canon Dr. At the bottom of the hill, veer right before the Nature area into Lone Oak area. Just outside Little Farm/Tilden Nature area.
