Event Notes:

Dan will lead a moderate, approximately 7.4 mile, 1,200-foot elevation gain, out-and-back hike to Las Trampas Peak. Route will be Rohrer Trail (Lafayette City Trail) and Las Trampas Peak Trail to the summit. After rest/snack return back down Las Trampas Peak Trail and Rohrer Trail to the parking area. Dog friendly, off-leash OK on the trails. No services on this hike.

Access to Las Trampas from Lafayette

Trailhead address is Colorados Swim & Tennis Club, 3016 Rohrer Drive, Lafayette.

From Walnut Creek take HWY 24 to the Central Lafayette Exit and make the first 2 immediate right turns off of HWY 24. Make right onto Mt. Diablo Blvd. and 1st left onto Moraga Road. Go 0.4 mile on Moraga Road and turn left onto St. Mary's Rd. Go 2.6 miles on St. Mary's Rd. then turn left onto Rohrer Rd. (Rohrer Road is the 4th stop sign on St. Mary's Rd.). Go 0.8 mile on Rohrer Rd. to the parking area for the Colorados Club (Parking for 40+ cars). Rohrer Rd. dead-ends but do NOT go to the upper tennis court parking, do NOT go the very end of Rohrer Rd.

From Oakland HWY 24 take Oak Hill Rd. exit toward Central Lafayette. Turn right onto Oak Hill Rd. and then left onto Mt. Diablo Rd. Then 1st right onto Moraga Rd. and follow above info to the trailhead.
