Event Notes:

A 5-mile loop hike with an elevation gain of about 1000 feet to Las Trampas Peak with an option to add 1½ miles with a 750-foot elevation gain. Route will be via the Bollinger Creek and Las Trampas Ridge Trails to Las Trampas Peak. After a short rest/snack stop, return via Las Trampas Ridge and Chamise Trails. The optional added loop on the east side of the ridge will be via the Las Trampas Ridge, Del Amigo and Sulphur Springs Trails. Dogs welcome, off-leash OK on the trails. Water and restrooms available at the parking lot.

From 680 Southbound: Take exit 36 for Crow Canyon Rd for 0.1 mi Turn right onto Crow Canyon Rd for 1.1 mi Turn right onto Bollinger Canyon Rd for 4.1 mi to end of road and turn left into parking lot. From 680 Northbound: Take exit 36 for Crow Canyon Rd for 0.3 mi Turn left onto Crow Canyon Rd for 1.3 mi Turn right onto Bollinger Canyon Rd for 4.1 mi to end of road and turn left into parking lot. From I-580 in Castro Valley: Take Crow Canyon Road north to Bollinger Canyon Road. Turn left onto Bollinger Canyon Rd for 4.1 mi to end of road and turn left into parking lot.
