Trail Notes:

An easy hike, 7 miles with little elevation gain. This hike is 99% in the sun. We will hike north to the Borges Ranch, which is the highlight of the hike. This is a great place to see how people lived a century ago. Bring something to eat, as there are picnic tables. There are also flush toilets at Borges. I will also attempt to explain the quail habitat that has been introduced to the area. Quite interesting.

Trailhead Directions:

If you are coming from the north, take 680S to Stone Valley Road east. Almost 3 miles to Green Valley Road (traffic light) where you go left for about 1 mile to the staging area.

If you are coming from the south, take 680N to Diablo Road east. About 1 mile later, it connects with El Cerro (traffic light). Right turn for about 1 mile to Green Valley Road (traffic light). Left about 1 mile to the staging area.

Look for my vintage red Honda hatchback. $3 parking fee. Bring exact change.

Parking Fee: $3
