Event Notes:

Joel will lead this Trails Challenge hike. A strenuous, 6.5-mile, 2000-foot elevation gain, loop hike to Devils Hole, the lowest point in the park. The route is up the Elderberry Trail, right onto Ridge View Trail and down Devils Hole Trail to Devils Hole. After a short rest/snack stop, return up the Sycamore Trail, left on Rocky Ridge View Trail past the Comm tower and continuing down the paved road to the parking lot. A shorter 5-mile, 1000-foot elevation gain hike may be done by omitting the Devils Hole loop by continuing on the Rocky Ridge View Trail past the turnoff to the Devils Hole Trail and continuing to the Comm tower and back to the staging area as above. Water and toilets at the parking lot. Dog friendly, off-leash is OK on the trails.
