A 5-mile loop hike with an elevation gain of about 1000 feet to Las Trampas Peak with an option to add one mile and 400 feet of elevation gain. Route will be via the Bollinger Creek and Las Trampas Ridge Trails to Las Trampas Peak. After a short rest/snack stop, return via Las Trampas Ridge and Chamise Trails. The optional added loop on the east side of the ridge will be via the Las Trampas Ridge, Del Amigo and Sulphur Springs Trails. Dogs welcome, off-leash OK on the trails. Water and restrooms available at the parking lot.

From I-580 in Castro Valley, take Crow Canyon Road north to Bollinger Canyon Road. Turn left (north) onto Bollinger Canyon Road and follow the road until you reach the park gate. Continue past gate, finally making a left turn at the end into the main parking lot. The distance from the Crow Canyon Rd turnoff to the parking lot is about 5 miles.
From I-680 in San Ramon, take Crow Canyon Road exit heading west (from Southbound I-680 turn right onto Crow Canyon Road; from Northbound I-680, turn left onto Crow Canyon.) Follow for 1.2 miles to Bollinger Canyon Road, turn right (north) and follow the road until you reach the park gate. Continue past gate, finally making a left turn at the end into the main parking lot. The distance from the Crow Canyon Rd turnoff to the parking lot is about 5 miles.
