Event Notes:

It is about 7 miles on Moraga/Canyon Rd to Valle Vista. An almost 7 mile hike, mostly through forest. Bring your EBMUD hiking permits and sign in your vehicle at the kiosk in the parking lot. Beautiful views of the Upper San Leandro Reservoir. We will rest halfway at a shaded gate. After this we start to climb the hill. It is steeper on the descent than the ascent. Hiking poles helpful. Last mile+ in the sun. No water in the park. One Porta Potty at the parking lot. Let's go for coffee in Moraga afterwards.

This is about a 6 mile hike and for the most part, just gradual inclines (mostly gently rolling hills), although there is a pretty tough 1 mile climb between miles 4 and 5. A hiking permit is required for this trail.
