Event Notes:

A tough climb at the start up to the Comm tower. 1,000 ft in one mile. That section is paved and Rocky Ridge should be dry. We can extend it a bit to make it a 5 mile hike. Dress for rain. Coffee afterwards?

Trail Notes:

This is only a 4 mile hike, but there is 1,000 feet of elevation gain in the first mile. It is not easy. We will take the paved trail around the Comm. tower and take the Rocky Ridge trail to the junction with the trail to Devils Hole. It is an out and back. The trail is doable in this rainy season. Several of us previewd the hike last sunday, one day after it rained. If you have an EBMUD hiking permit, bring it with you.
