Event Notes:

About a 5 1/2-mile, 1000-foot elevation gain loop hike in Walnut Creek's Lime Ridge Open Space. Route is from Arbolado Park via Ohlone, Blue Oak and Buckeye Trails to the summit where we will stop for a short rest/snack stop. Return via Lime Ridge, Paraiso and Ohlone Trails. Water and flush toilets at the parking lot. Take the second entrance into the park and meet at the restrooms near the tennis courts. Sorry, no dogs allowed in parts of Lime Ridge. Arbolado Park address is 3500 Arbolado Dr for mapquest or Google users.

Trail Notes:

The distance is 6 miles max and the elevation gain is 700'. Mostly sun. Should take us 2.5 hours for this hike.


Trailhead Directions:

From 680, exit at Ygnacio Valley Rd. and go east about 3.3 miles to Oak Grove Rd. (traffic light). Right about .75 miles to Arbolado Dr. Left about .25 miles to Arbolado Park on the left. Park in the parking lot opposite Sutton Drive. Meet by the bathroom next to the tennis courts..
