Event Notes:

A moderate 5+-mile, 1000-foot elevation gain loop hike with a midway rest/snack stop at Borges Ranch. Route will be via the Costanoan, Upper Buck Loop, Deer Lake, Corral Spring, Ginder Gap, Ridge Top, Briones to Mt Diablo, and Borges Ranch trails to Borges Ranch. Return by the Costanoan and Sulfer Creek trails to Synder Lane. Water, restroom, picnic tables and ranch animals at Borges Ranch. Dog friendly, off-leash OK on the trails.

Trail Notes:

Approximately 5 mile loop hike with elevation gain of about 750 feet. There will be a midway stop at Borges Ranch which is equipped with covered picnic tables. Water and restrooms are available here. Dog friendly, off-leash OK on trails. A hike of moderate difficulty.


Trailhead Directions:

From 680 Fwy exit at Ygnacio Valley Rd. Turn right onto Ygnacio Valley Rd and drive for 1.7 miles to Walnut Ave (NOT Walnut Blvd). Turn right onto Walnut Ave and proceed for 1.3 miles to Snyder Lane. Turn right and drive for 0.6 miles to end of road. Park on street. From Ygnacio Valley Rd westbound drive to Wiget Lane. Turn left and drive for 0.7 mile to Walnut Ave. Turn left and proceed on Walnut Ave for 0.3 miles to Synder Lane. Turn right on Snyder Lane and drive for 0.6 mile to end of road. Park on street. Nearby address is 1250 Snyder Lane.
