Event Notes:

A 5+-mile hike with about a 1600-foot elevation gain to Eagle Peak in Las Trampas Park. An out-and-back hike with a short rest/snack stop at the peak. No services at the Ringtail Cat staging area so bring plenty of water. Temperature is predicted to be in the 70's so the hike should not be too difficult. Dog friendly, off-leash OK on the trails.

Trail Notes:

This is an exploratory hike to Eagle Peak in Las Trampas. We will start at Ringtail Cat staging area at the end of Hemme. Ringtaill Cat trail to Madrone to Cordouroy Hills to Eagle Peak. It is an out and back 5 mile hike with 1,500 ft of elevation gain. It is not a walk in the park. A moderate + hike. It is called Eagle Peak for a reason. No services. Bring what you need. It is dog friendly on leash.

Trailhead Directions:

From 680S, exit at El Cerro Rd and turn right a short distance to Danville Blvd. Turn right a mile plus to Hemme Ave (light). Left a half mile to the end of the road. Park in street. From 680N, exit at El Cerro and go left under the Freeway to Danville Blvd. Right a mile plus to Hemme Ave. Left to the end of the road.
