Event Notes:

The trails are dry and the sun strong. Let's enjoy. Not exploratory any more. We will hike a short distance further into Round Valley. Here we will point out the beautiful Hardy Canyon, which is where thursday's hike is. Relatively easy, about 8 miles. All sun so wear sunscreen. Happy to say that once again. Snack at the Marina upon our return and also at Round Valley. Parking is $6.

Trail Notes:

This is an exploratory hike. I have only looked down at this park from Morgan Territory. It is relatively easy as we hike at lake level along the west shore. 7 miles and all sun. It is an out and back. Services and picnic tables at the Marina.

Trailhead Directions:

From south of 580, exit north at Vasco Rd. At least 5 miles to the Park entrance road on the left. 2 miles to the entry gate where you pay the parking fee. 3 miles further to the Marina where we meet in the parking lot. From North County go south on Vasco Rd at least 10 miles to the Park entrance road on the right. Same directions to the Marina.

Parking Fee: $4/$6
Other Fees: none
