Event Notes:
This is a saturday hike. Once again it is time for my birthday hike. I usually have bad weather. Trail is paved so it is rain or shine but not lightning. Call me at 925-484-4205 by 9:00 if you are uncertain. The views from the old Nike missle base are outstanding. We will rest and snack here. Dogs OK on leash. If you load Inspiration Point into your GPS you may be able to get personal directions. It's on Wildcat Canyon Road.

Trail Notes:

This is a PAVED trail with nice views of the surrounding hill side and on a clear day views of the Golden Gate bridge and Delta in the distance. Dogs are permitted LEASHED on the paved trail. Dog owners must pickup after their dogs. This trail is also a favorite for bicyclists and rollerbladers. This is an in and out type hike, approximately 4 miles each way (8 miles round trip).

Please note that the small parking lot at Inspiration Point typically fills up very quickly, especially in the morning hours. Therefore you are encouraged to arrive early to find street parking. Meet at the beginning of the paved trail, at the west side of the parking lot.

Trailhead Directions:

From Highway 24, take the CAMINO PABLO/ORINDA exit towards JFK UNIV/ORINDA VILLAGE/RICHMOND. Head north on Camino Pablo for approximately 3 miles. At the intersection where Camino Pablo turns into San Pablo Dam Road, turn LEFT onto Wildcat Canyon Road. Inspiration Point will be on your RIGHT side.
