Trail Notes:

This is a 6 mile hike with an 1800-foot elevation change that follows some of the most beautiful trails that I've found in the East Bay. Almost no boring fire roads or poison oak, plenty of wild flowers, and some simply fabulous views! This hike is moderately difficult, just a little bit tougher than the falls trail hike last month; so it's a good cardio workout and great preparation for some more ambitious hikes around Diablo that we're hoping to organize later this spring. Not for beginners. Plan on 3-4 hours to complete this hike. Please wear good hiking shoes, bring snacks or lunch, sunscreen, and plenty of water. Cameras recommended. Dogs are NOT permitted on any of the Mount Diablo trails.
