Event Notes:

These are easy level trails that don't aggravate achilles tendonitis. Best of all, they are not muddy, although waterproof hiking boots are best if it has rained recently, because there may be puddles. Most trails are paved with asphalt or gravel, and the few that are not are layered with eucalyptus sheddings. Bring binoculars if you are interested in water birds. Dogs are welcome and may run off leash on most trails. Bring towels if they like to wade. There is a water fountain midway through the hike. The minimum time will be two hours, but if we detour for more bird sightings (only if others want to) it could take longer. Hikers needing a shorter hike can simply backtrack. I did this hike last Saturday after a rain and it was quite pleasant.
