Trail Notes:

We'll start at S. Lucille Lane and hike southward towards Saint Mary's College. End of the line will be when we meet up with the Redwood Trail at the Valle Vista Trail Staging area. At this point, turn around and head back the same way you arrived! One-way distance for this route is 4.07 miles. So figure a little over 8 miles round trip. The is a paved trail has some minor inclines, but overall relatively easy.

From Oakland/Berkeley: Take Highway 24 toward Walnut Creek. Once through the Caldecott Tunnel, take the second exit which will be marked Orinda/Moraga. Turn right and follow Moraga Way about five miles. Turn left onto Moraga Road, then right onto Saint Mary's Road. Drive past Saint Mary's College on the right. Turn left at Lucile Lane approximately 2 miles further down the road. Park at Lucile Lane.

From Walnut Creek/Highway 680: Take Highway 24 west (Oakland direction) to the Central Lafayette exit and bear to the right, circling under the highway. At the second stoplight take a right onto Mt. Diablo Boulevard. At the next stoplight take a left onto Moraga Road. You will want to be in the left hand lane. Make a left onto Saint Mary's Road. Follow this road for about four miles. Look for Lucile Lane on your right. At Lucile, find a place to park.

Trail runs parallel to St. Mary's Road; we'll start from this location at Lucile Lane.
