Trail Notes:

This is a couple of hours of moderate hiking with the option of another 5 miles of a steeper nearby Lagoon trail for those who would like to get more exercise. Spectacular views on Briones Ridge before descending Mott's Peak. There are facilities and a nice spot to share light snacks about an hour in and a small restroom facility near the trailhead.


Trailhead Directions:

680 North to Highway 4 towards Martinez Exit at Alhambra Avenue--turn LEFT under freeway Turn RIGHT at Alhambra Valley Road Turn RIGHT onto Reliez Valley Road when road ends IMMEDIATE LEFT onto Old Briones Road Follow Old Briones Road up to top (approximately 1 mile) and park on either side of the road. Watch for oncoming downhill traffic. There is no fee at this entrance. Valuables left in car need to be out of sight for your protection.
