From I-80 in Berkeley, take the UNIVERSITY AVE offramp and continue EAST on University, crossing San Pablo Ave. Continue EAST then turn LEFT on SACRAMENTO AVE. Continue NORTH on Sacramento three blocks and turn LEFT on DELAWARE then enter the BART parking lot. Look for us in the South East quadrant of the lot (near where you entered!).

Event Notes:

This hike is along the ridgeline of Tomales Point in the Pt. Reyes National Seashore. It features dramatic ocean views and a resident herd of Roosevelt Tule Elk. A moderately long (9.5 miles) hike over fairly easy terrain. We will hike from the Pierce Ranch to the tip of Tomales Point where we will eat our lunches before returning over the same route. Note that this is an all day event, expect to return to the carpool point around 6 PM. Please choose to join us for dinner at a local restaurant afterward. I will be leading this trip for both the "Casual Hikers" and the "Lawrence Berkeley Lab Outdoors Club". A CARPOOL will be set up to leave from the North Berkeley BART Station at 9:30 AM sharp. If carpooling, be prepared to share gasoline and toll costs. Parking at this BART station is permitted on weekends. The weekend weather forecasts are in flux, currently rain is forecast for Saturday, but Sunday looks good. Rain will cancel. Bring water, lunch, and expect cool weather on the coast so dress in layers.
