Event Notes:

This is a 6.2 mile hike with about 500' of elevation gain in a short distance in the middle of the hike. Parking is free, but no services at the staging area. Bring water and snacks. Lots of sun on this hike. I need hikers with EBMUD hiking permits to attend this hike so we can legally bring the non permit hikers into the park. A full year permit for $10 is available on the EBMUD website. I leave my landline phone at 9:00 AM.

Trail Notes:

This is about a 6 mile hike and for the most part, just gradual inclines (mostly gently rolling hills), although there is a pretty tough 1 mile climb between miles 4 and 5. A hiking permit is required for this trail.
