Event Notes:

We will meet at the main staging area at the end of Bollinger Canyon Rd. This is a 5 mile loop hike, with ~1,000' of elevation gain over the first 2 miles. We return via Las Trampas Ridge trail to the Chamise trail. Chamise is a steep descent over 0.75 miles. Hiking poles would be helpful. Hike is ~ 75% sun. Water and restrooms at the staging area. This hike is a bit more difficult than Howe Homestead because of the greater elevation gain, but it is 2.5 miles shorter. Should take about 2 hours. Great views from the Peak. This hike is dog friendly. From 680, exit west at Crow Canyon Rd. 1 mile to Bollinger Canyon Rd. (light). Right 5.5 miles to the end of the road. Staging area on the left.

Trail Notes:

This hike is easier than the Remington hike ( 770' elevation gain, and 4 miles total). Definitely easier than Wall Point. Parking is free. Restrooms and water at the trailhead. When we get to Las Trampas Peak, we will show the Wall Point hikers the view of that trail. Weather should be good.
