Event Notes:

B.A.R.T. to Tilden Hike

Your choice hikes of
A Moderate+ 6.8 mile, 1200 ft.
or Challenging 8.5 mile, 1500 ft.
out-and-back hike from EBRPD Sibley Volcanic to Tilden on the Bay Area Ridge Trail/Skyline Trail.

We'll start from the main Sibley staging area down the B.A.R.T. to Old Tunnel Rd before ascending to the Steam Trains in Tilden where we will stop to snack.

The long hike will continue to Volmer peak on Volmer Peak, and Seaview Trails before returning to snack.

Both groups will return the same route after the snack/rest stop.

Please note: There is limited Parking at the Sibley Staging Area, Please Carpool if at all possible.

Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve Staging Area parking lot is the main trailhead for trails in Sibley Park, also providing access to Tilden Park to the North, and Huckleberry and Redwood Parks to the South.

The Sibley Staging Area parking lot is located at 37.84757,-122.19868. (The intersection of Grizzly Peak Blvd and Skyline Blvd.) Take HWY 24, Exit Fish Ranch Road, drive up Fish Ranch Road 1 mile to the stop sign, left onto Grizzly Peak Blvd, Left onto Skyline Blvd. The Sibley Park entrance is immediately on your left.
