Event Notes:

Choose a 5 mile 1,300 foot or a 6.4 mile 1,500 foot elevation gain out-and-back hike starting from Rancho Colorados Swim and Tennis Club in Lafayette. Route will be Rohrer Trail, Clyde Wood Trail to the Bob Scharf Memorial Picnic Table at Jane's Meadow where the short hike will stop to rest/snack/enjoy the view. Short hike will return from here retracing same trails back to the cars. Long hike will continue up Las Trampas-to Briones Trail, through the gate, immediate left onto a No Name Trail, right on Madrone Trail, right down Las Trampas-to-Briones Trail to join the short hikers at Janes Meadow. Both return as indicated above. The Club bathrooms may NOT be open/available.

Trailhead address is Colorados Swim & Tennis Club, 3016 Rohrer Drive, Lafayette.

From Walnut Creek take HWY 24 to the Central Lafayette Exit and make the first 2 immediate right turns off of HWY 24. Make right onto Mt. Diablo Blvd. and 1st left onto Moraga Road. Go 0.4 mile on Moraga Road and turn left onto St. Mary's Rd. Go 2.6 miles on St. Mary's Rd. then turn left onto Rohrer Rd. (Rohrer Road is the 4th stop sign on St. Mary's Rd.). Go 0.8 mile on Rohrer Rd. to the parking area for the Colorados Club (Parking for 40+ cars). Rohrer Rd. dead-ends but do NOT go to the upper tennis court parking, do NOT go the very end of Rohrer Rd.

From Oakland HWY 24 take Oak Hill Rd. exit toward Central Lafayette. Turn right onto Oak Hill Rd. and then left onto Mt. Diablo Rd. Then 1st right onto Moraga Rd. and follow above info to the trailhead.
