Your choice of
a challenging- 7 mile, 1300 ft ele. gain or
a challenging 8.4 mile, 1600 ft ele. gain
out-and-back hikes, from Oakland's Dimond Park into Joaquin Miller Park.

We'll start by the toilets in Diamond Park, hiking along Sausal and Palo Seco Creeks into Joaquin Miller Park on Dimond Canyon, Old Canon, Bridgeview, and Palos Colorados Trails. We'll then follow Sinawik and Sunset Trails to the snack stop above the restrooms.

While the short route hikers stop to snack, the long hike group heads up to Sequoia Bayview Trail on Fern Ravine Trail, looping around to descend on Sunset Trail back to the snack stop.

All hikers will return along Palo Seco Creek via Sunset and Palos Colorados Trails into Diamond Park, returning along Sausal Creek the same trails as our outbound path.
