Choose a 6.5 mile 700 foot or a 7.8 mile 900 foot elevation gain loop hike in Anthony Chabot Regional Park starting from Clyde Woolridge staging area. Route begins south on the Goldenrod Trail, left down the Columbine Trail, left on Cascade Trail, straight onto Brandon Trail stopping at Bort Meadow to rest/snack. Short hike turns around and retraces back on the Brandon Trail, right up Horseshoe Trail, and left on Goldenrod Trail back to the cars. Long hike continues north on Grass Valley Trail, up the Ranch Trail, and left on Goldenrod Trail back to the cars. No facilities at trailhead, but water/pit toilets at Bort Meadow and water/toilets at Chabot Equestrian Center.

From I580 in Oakland, take exit 29, East on Golf links Rd. past the Oakland Zoo.
After 1.8 mile bear left onto Grass Valley Rd.
After 0.4 mile, at the top of the hill, turn right into the staging area parking lot at the Southern end of Skyline Bl.
