Los Vaqueros Peninsula Hike

Your choice of two hikes in Contra Costa Water District's Los Vaqueros Reservoir
a Moderate 5.6 mile, 1300 ft. ele. or
a Challenging 9.5 mile, 1700 ft. ele.

Starting from the the Interpretive Center by the Dam we'll hike over to Peninsula Cove on the Interpretive and Los Vaqueros Trails. At the Badger Pass intersection the Short hike stops at the picnic table near the toilet to snack/rest.

The longer hike continues to Cowboy cove on Peninsula Trail and Peninsula Crest Trail to snack at the Ridge picnic tables. After the snack the long hike returns to the Badger Pass intersection and rejoins the short hike returning to the Parking lot.

Both hikes return via the same trails as the outbound direction with a short cut at Peninsula Cove.
