A Hike along the Lake

Two for one hikes in EBRPD Anthony and Lake Chabot Regional Parks. Your choice of a
7.2 mile, 1300 ft ele., or
8.2 mile, 1300 ft ele. Hike
from the EBMUD Chabot Staging area on Redwood Road.

Starting from the Chabot Staging Area we head out Willow View Trail, Brandon Trail through Redwood Canyon Golf course, Proctor, Ten Hills, Cameron Loop, and Honker Bay Trails to Hucks Trail. At this point the shorter hike will ascend Hucks Trail to our Snack stop at the Amphitheater.

The longer hike continues around the lake on Honker Bay Trail to the campground road to the Amphitheater to snack. (The longest route is currently not available using Towhee Trail off of Honker Bay)

After the snack we return on Hucks, Towhee, Brandon and Willow View Trails.

EBMUD's Chabot Staging Area on Redwood Road in Castro Valley provides access to Chabot Regional Park to the west and Ramage Peak to the east.

EBMUD's Chabot Staging Area on Redwood Road in Castro Valley. HWY 580, Exit Redwood Road in Castro Valley, go east 3.5 miles on Redwood Road. Staging Area is on your right 1 mile past Redwood Canyon Golf Course (formerly Willow Park Golf Course).
