Event Notes:

Trailhead is 2101 Camino Pablo, Moraga. Canyon Road is closed at the bridge so those coming from the Oakland area must go through the tunnel. From Oakland Exit Orinda, right on Moraga Way, right on Canyon, left on Camino Pablo. Hike is a 7+ mile, 1,200 foot elevation gain loop hike starting from Rancho Laguna Park in Moraga. Route will be clockwise around King Canyon Loop Trail with a stop at Valle Vista to rest/snack. Bring EBMUD trail permit. Water/flush toilet at trailhead, pit toilet at Valle Vista.

Trail Notes:

This is a 7 mile hike with one 600 ft hill. Minor ups and downs the rest of the way on mostly fireroads. Total elevation is about 800 ft. It is a moderate hike. Restrooms at Rancho Laguna and Valle Vista.

Trailhead Directions:

From Hwy 24 take Moraga Rd south about 6.5 miles to Camino Pablo. Turn left and go about 2 miles to Rancho Laguna Park on the left. Park near the entrance. Moraga Rd's name changes to Canyon after Moraga Way. About 1/4 mile to Camino Pablo. Big church on the left.
