A 6.5 mile, 1100-ft elevation gain hike in the Walnut Creek Open Space from Snyder Lane.
Start from the Snyder Lane gate, sharp left to stay on the trail then right on Costanoan Trail, right on Lower Buck Trail, right on Deer Lake Trail, pass Deer Lake, then left on Corral Spring Trail to Ginder Gap, left on Ridge Top Trail, left on Briones to Mt. Diablo Trail, left on Borges Ranch Trail to the Ranch where we will take a short rest/snack stop.
Return down the Borges Ranch Trail to Bob Pond, then right onto the Hanna Lane Trail, left on the Flat Top Trail, continue left down the Flat Top Trail, right on the Sulfur Creek Trail, left on the street at the bottom through the gate to the Costanoan Trail, continuing straight then right on the trail to return to Snyder Lane.
Water and restrooms at Borges Ranch and Bob Pond. Dogs OK off-leash on the trails.

From 680 Fwy exit at Ygnacio Valley Rd. Turn right onto Ygnacio Valley Rd and drive for 1.7 miles to Walnut Ave (NOT Walnut Blvd). Turn right onto Walnut Ave and proceed for 1.3 miles to Snyder Lane. Turn right and drive for 0.6 miles to end of road. Park on street.
From Ygnacio Valley Rd westbound drive to Wiget Lane. Turn left and drive for 0.7 mile to Walnut Ave. Turn left and proceed on Walnut Ave for 0.3 miles to Synder Lane. Turn right on Snyder Lane and drive for 0.6 mile to end of road. Park on street.
