Event Notes:

Lafayette Ridge Trail

A 6.7 mile, 1700 ft or longer 7.7 mile, 1800 ft out-and-back hike along the Lafayette Ridge Trail.

Starting from the Lafayette Ridge Staging Area we take Lafayette Ridge, and Springhill Trails to the Springhill Staging area for a snack break.

After the break the short hike returns via the same route, while the longer/harder hike ascends to Lafayette Ridge via the Buckeye Ranch Trail to return via Lafayette Ridge Trail.

Leader: Joel Schantz

Trail Notes:

The first part of this hike is probably the toughest, ascending from the parking lot to the ridge itself. After that it is a lot of rolling up and down, some steep parts, but generally a moderate hike. This is a great hike if you're goal is to get your heart rate up! Dogs are permitted on this trail.

From the parking lot/staging area, follow the Lafayette Ridge Trail to the end until you encounter the intersection of the Mariposa and Briones Crest Trails. 2.99 miles one way; 5.98 round trip.
