Lime Ridge Triple Looper


Join us for a loopy hike at 9:00 am at Lime Ridge Open Space. A hiker's choice of a short 7.9 mile/1600' moderate+ hike or a long 8.8 mile/1900' moderate+ hike. After the hike, join the leader at nearby Shadelands Ranch Museum for a 1:00 pm tour! Please download and print out the attached map if you are reading this in an e-mail, if you are on the website, please e-mail the leader and I will send you one!

Hike begins on Arbolado Drive down to left on Paraiso Trail, right on Ohlone, right on Paraiso, left on Manzanita, straight onto single track Lime Ridge Trail, right onto Ridge Trail, left on Ohlone, left on Buckeye, left on Lime Ridge Trail and left to a bench above the intersection for a break. Head back making a right on Manzanita, right on Buckeye, middle trail onto Lime Ridge Trail. At the junction with Ohlone, hikes will split.

The short hike will turn left on Ohlone and follow it all the way back to the start. The long hike will continue on Lime Ridge Trail, through the tunnel, left on Bayberry Scenic Tr, past Bayberry Pond, left through gate onto Ygnacio Canal Trail, through the tunnel, left on Ygnacio Canal Trail Link up the hill, right on Ohlone and follow it back to the start.

The trail will be marked with flour arrows along the route. Sorry, No Dogs Allowed in this Wildlife Preserve. Over 1200 acres of pristine open space and 25 miles of trails are held jointly by the cities of Concord and Walnut Creek.

From 680, exit at Ygnacio Valley Rd. and go east about 3.3 miles to Oak Grove Rd. (traffic light). Right about .75 miles to Arbolado Dr. Left about .25 miles to Arbolado Park on the left. Park in the parking lot opposite Sutton Drive. Meet by the bathroom next to the tennis courts.

Parking Fee: no charge
