Dimond's are Forever

A triple choice hike from Oakland's Dimond Park along Sausal Creek into Joaquin Miller Park. your choices are

1) 6.8 mile, 1100ft
2) 7.4 mile, 1200ft
3) 6.4 mile, 1500ft

The route is Dimond Canyon, Old Canon, Dimond Canyon, and Bridgeview Trails to Monterey Blvd where we cross under SR13 to JM Court. Then we follow Palos Colorados, and Sinawik Trails to a snack stop at Lookout Point in Joaquin Miller. The Short hike will retrace their steps back to Dimond Park.

The Medium and Long hikes do the same until diverging on Sinawik Loop Trail to descend to Palo Seco Creek further upstream. The Medium hike will make a quick uturn to their left along the creek on Sinawik Trail back to Palos Colorados Trail to retrace their steps.

The Long hike will cross over the creek and turn left on Sunset Trail to ascend on Sunset Loop, and Wild Rose Trails to Sequoia Bayview Trail. We'll then turn left on Sequoia Bayview, and Chaparral Trails back to a right turn on Sunset Trail to return to Palos Colorados Trail to retrace out inbound route.

Please Park on the street near the Entrance (Google Maps) and meet near the restrooms within the park.

From Walnut Creek, HWY 24 West to HWY 13 South, take the Joaquin Miller/Lincoln Ave. Exit. From Dublin, HWY 580 West, HWY 13 North, take the Joaquin Miller/Lincoln Ave. Exit. Go west on Lincoln Ave, right on Damuth St, right on Fruitvale Ave. Dimond Park pedestrian entrance is on your left, across the street from 3756 Fruitvale Ave. Street parking only, no parking lot.
