Meet at the end of Marshall Drive. This will be a hike up Shell ridge at sunset. The moon will rise past 9:13 p.m. above Mt. Diablo. expect some climbs and descents. The elevation gain will be roughly 500 ft. We will hike about 2.5 hours at a moderate pace with periodic stops. I'm guessing that the mileage will total 5 miles. For those that are interested, we can stop in downtown Walnut Creek afterward for coffee, soda, etc. Bring your flashlights, good shoes and good attitudes for a last spring fling with the moon. Anyone that has a moon story or would like to has moon mad information can share it on the hike.
