Event Notes:

About a 6.5 mile, 1,800-foot elevation gain loop hike, beginning at trail marker 25 at the end of Briones Road. This is a different trailhead from past hikes, use 1201 Briones Road, Martinez for GPS. Route will be Old Briones Road Trail, Maricich Lagoon single track trail, No Name Trail, Table Top Trail, Spengler Trail, Table Top Trail stopping to snack/rest/enjoy the views at bench at summit. Return on Briones Crest Trail and Old Briones Road Trail.

Briones Regional Park provides miles of hiking trails on 6,256 acres. Briones Road is one of five staging areas into the park.

This is a different trailhead from past hikes, use 1201 Briones Road, Martinez for GPS. From Antioch, 4 West, Alhambra Ave. Exit, turn left for 0.6 miles, right on Alhambra Valley Road for 1.2 miles. At stop sign turn right then immediate left onto Briones Road, a one lane 1.5 mile country road. Roadside parking at end of road. From Danville/Oakland HWY 24, Pleasant Hill Road Exit, North on Pleasant Hill Road for 1.8 miles, stay left to continue on Taylor Blvd. for 2.1 miles. Left on Grayson, right on Reliez Valley Road for 2.2 miles. At stop sign of Reliez Valley Road and Alhambra Valley Road intersection, continue straight onto Alhambra Valley Road, immediate left onto Briones Road, 1.5 miles to road end and roadside parking.
