We will be taking a lunch/snack/rest break near there STEWARTVILLE TOWNSITE. Restrooms and water available at trail head, primitive toilet only at rest stop. dogs are permitted. Leader: MARS CAPENFrom Hwy. 4 in Antioch, take Somersville Rd. exit and go south, staying in the left lane as you approach and pass Buchanan Rd. At 1.5 miles, follow Somersville Rd. as it continues straight, while the main road, now called James Donlon Blvd., bends sharply left. (There is a sign here that reads BLACK DIAMOND MINES REGIONAL PARK, and in about a mile for BLACK DIAMOND MINES REGIONAL PRESERVE; both refer to the same place.) At 2.6 miles from Hwy 4, you reach the entrance kiosk, park office, and emergency telephone; continue another .9 mile to a large parking area, right, with an overflow area, left.
