Event Notes:

This is a short strenuous hike. It is not easy. Hike is rain or shine. Porta pottys and water at the parking lot. Part of the hike is on a paved road and the ridge top drains very quickly. It is doable.

Trail Notes:

This is only a 4 mile hike, but there is 1,000 feet of elevation gain in the first mile. It is not easy. We will take the paved trail around the Comm. tower and take the Rocky Ridge trail to the junction with the trail to Devils Hole. It is an out and back. The trail is doable in this rainy season. Several of us previewd the hike last sunday, one day after it rained. If you have an EBMUD hiking permit, bring it with you.
