The route is High Ridge Loop to Gossip Rock, and then on to Meyers Ranch trail. Great views and shade at Gossip Rock. It's not easy.

Trail Notes:

This is a 6 mile loop hike with 900 feet of elevation gain. All on fire roads with mostly sun. This is a moderate plus hike. Similiar to hiking to the Comm. Tower at Las Trampas. Hiking poles helpful. No water but a Porta Potty at the parking lot.

Directions to Trailhead:

Most of us will take 580W to 880S. Go south on 880 about 2 miles to Dyle St./Whipple Rd. Loop around and go under 880. It's now Whipple. Continue east towards the hills about 1.5 miles to Mission Blvd. Continue on Whipple to Mission Blvd and go directly across Mission about 200 feet to the parking lot on your right. Do not take Mission to Tamarack.
