Event Notes:

This is a 5 mile loop hike to Las Trampas Peak. We will return via the Ridge and Chamise trails. Hiking poles would be helpful. The Park is dog friendly. An almost even mix of shade and sun. It is a moderate hike because of the elevation gain. Since I am making this a loop hike, it is slightly longer than the Trail Notes.

Trail Notes:

This hike is easier than the Remington hike ( 770' elevation gain, and 4 miles total). Definitely easier than Wall Point. Parking is free. Restrooms and water at the trailhead. When we get to Las Trampas Peak, we will show the Wall Point hikers the view of that trail. Weather should be good.

Directions to Trailhead:

For those coming from the north, take 680S to Crow Canyon westbound (right). About a mile to Bollinger Canyon northbound (right). There is a traffic light at this intersection. About 5 miles to the end of the road, with the trail head parking lot on the left.

For those coming from the south, take 680N to Crow Canyon westbound (left). About a mile to Bollinger Canyon. Right about 5 miles to the trailhead parking lot at the end of the road on the left.
