Ringtail Cat to Las Trampas peak

City: Alamo
Park: Las Trampas

Sunday, February 01, 2009 @ 10:00 AM

Event Notes:

This is a moderate + hike. It is not easy, but doable for most of our members. We take Ringtail Cat to Madrone all the way to the Peak. A good amount of forest, but a bigger amount of grasslands. The last mile + to the Peak is fairly steep. It is dog friendly. No services at all. Bring fluids and take care of business beforehand. An easier companion hike will be submitted with the same start time to give you all a choice.

Trail Notes:

This is an 8 mile out and back hike to Las Trampas peak. It is a moderate + hike with 1,500' of elevation gain. Not easy. Most of the hike is on a fire road, but about 1.5 miles on a single track trail. No services anywhere in the park. Be prepared.
